The public sector National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has shelved the proposal for setting up a 2000-MW liquefied natural gas (LNG) power station in Mangalore.This has been conveyed by the Union Power Minister, Mr Suresh Prabhu, to the Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr S.M. Krishna.
