NTPC will set up a RS 8,000 crore LNG fuelled power plant in Mangalore. Making the announcement yesterday after a revie wo fthe menorandum of agreement signed with the Karnataka government in January 2000, power minister, P R Kumaramangalam told reporters at Bangalore that the 2,000 MW unit will receive gas from the Gail pipeline from Kasergode.
