Five years from now, India's most ambitious, Rs 6,000-crore Tarapur Atomic Power Project (Phases 3&4) will go criticial, producing 500 MW of electricity per phase. But the predicament of the villagers stuated on the edge of this reactor has already turned "critical".The paddy fields at Akkarpatti and Pophran villages have been destroyed in the last two years because of the fine stone dust continuously belching out from the reactor site.
