The Science, Technology and Environment Ministry in Thailand is planning to set up an independent authority to control the use of nuclear power,a senior official said yesterday. The Nuclear Facility Safety Sub-committee - chaired by the science permanent secretary - recently ordered atomic power officials to conduct a plan to separate the Nuclear Facility Regulatory Centre from the OAEP.
