Kerala has recorded a significant drop in the off take of diesel, much to the surprise of the oil industry. And, the reason is not hike in its price, but a host of other factors. The general recession seems to have taken its toll on the fishing sector as well as the vehicle movement. The diesel consumption by the fishing sector has shown a negative growth.
