A consortium of four Canadian and US companies has offered to invest $285 million (Rs 1.254crore) in a 105 mw power generation unit at Dhapa which will convert garbage into electricity. The group, after appropriate feasibility studies, intends to use the hihgly sophisticated plasma technology to utilise 1,500 MT ton of garbage every day.
