The Oil India Ltd (OIL) proposes to start experimental drilling for crude oil in the bed of the Brahmaputra rive in Upper Assam by the end of the current year. Mr B.B. Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, OIL., disclosing this at an informal get-together with media persons in Guwahati said this project would be the first of its kind in the country by OIL.
