Oil to supply additional gas

In what could be termed as a positive sign for the speedy completion of the Rs 3,600 crore Assam Gas Cracker Project (AGCP) at Tengakhat in Dibrugarh district and the commencement of production thereafter, which has been hanging fire for nearly two decades due to the non-settlement of the gas agreement between the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and the Oil India LImited (OIL), the latter has finally decided to supplement the additional gas, if required to the Reliance Assam Petrochemicals Limited (RAPL), to achieve the targeted production of 2,00,000 tonnes of ethylene annually.
