The fire at the Mumbai offshore rig, Sagar Ratna, is likely to take another two months to be doused and therefore, the loss in terms of gas production is expected to be sizable. The loss of about 1.6 million cubic metres per day is estimated to cost around Rs. 25 lakhs.
