In an exercise lasting 86 days,a fire raging at an offshore platform about 160 km off Mumbai due to uncontrolled flow of gas from a well, was put out early yesterday. "An 86-day well control activity comes to an end", Oil and Natural Gas Corporation(ONGC) said yesterday in a release on the fire which broke out on March 11.
