ONGC plans to go it without multinationals

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation seems to have lost faith in the sincerity of multinational oil companies in helping it overcome some of the complicated reservoir problems faced by offshore oil fields Neelam and Bombay High. A recent offer made by the international energy company Halliburton to revive the ailing Neelam field in Bombay offshore shocked the entire ONGC management, forcing chairman Bikas Chandra Bora to reject it outright.
