ONGC to resume activities in Nagaland

The Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC), which had suspended its oil exploratory activities in Nagaland in 1994, has decided to resume its operations with a view to augmenting the production of crude oil in the country. According to an official release, the ONGC has already established the high potentiality of the petroliferous Assam-Arakan basin, covering approximately 3,000 sq. kms of Nagaland.
