The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) will withdraw from oil and natural gas drilling activity in Bengal in the next few days after it drew blank from the 50th well drilled in the state and its off-shore areas in the last four and half decades. However, breaking a year-long lull in the drilling for Coal Bed Methane (CBM) gas, ONGC will resume CBM drilling from April.
