Orissa has set a high growth target of 6.2% per annum despite the economic fundamentals of the state showing no signs of a fast recovery and the fiscal position being "precarious", according to the Orissa State Development Report released. Chief Minister Navin Patnaik said the roadmap for state's development has emphasised on rural poor areas and urged greater thrust on handloom, textiles, tourism and minerals-based industries to generate more employment.
