The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation finds itself in a piquant situation with some State Electricity Boards(SEBs) lifting gas well below the committed levels. Against the potential to supply more than 10 lakh cubic metres of gas daily from the Cauvery basin, the offtake is only around two lakh curbic metres, Mr. C.P. Saha, regional Director, Southern Regional Business Cenre (SRBC) of the Navarathna PSU told the Hindu, adding that the situation was the same in Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry.
