Over Rs 300 crores in Central funds lie unused

The ministry of urban development has failed to implement Centrally-sponsored programmes as over 3,000 projects, involving over Rs 300 crores, were lying unused with the ministry, state governments and other implementing agencies in all over the country. "The funds were to consists of a mix of selected ad earmarked government grants and market loan," adding that "interestingly, six states, including Assam, Bihar, Haryana, Karnataka, Manipur, Tripura, failed to arrange any institutional fund."
