Mr Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister, said the gravitation water supply scheme for Shimla town from Pabbar river would solve water problem for next 50 years. Addressing a meeting at Gumma, he said requirement of drinking water had increased for Shimla town manifold and many small schemes had been added to the original Gumma water supply scheme. However, still shortage of drinking water persisted. He said detailed project report was being prepared and work on the project would be taken up on priority.
