Leading world experts at a two-day workshop on the management of diseases of the gastro-intestinal tract, which began in New Delhi today, said the endoscopic surgery initially used for the removal of gall-bladder stones has now been extended to management of diseasese like hiatus hernia, reflux oesophagitis, peptic ulcers, acid peptic disease and achlasia of cardia.
