A Parliamentary committee on energy has asked the Government to prepare a 'comprehensive plan' to accelerate the national programme on energy recovery from urban, municipal and industrial wastes. Expressing concern over the slow progress in utilising funds and realising targets under the programme, the standing committee on energy of the twelfth Lok Sabha in its report said, "the committee would like to emphasise the development of a comprehensive plan so that the amount asked for is, utilised fully.
