The state government has decided to form a high-level committee headed by HDFC chariman DEepak Parekh to examine the escrow cover for the Cogentrix project. This committee will also examine t he escrow account ability of the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation (KPTC) which amounts to 1,500 MW . This was decided after a three hour long cabinet committee meeting presided over by chief minister S M Krishna.
