Pune Though the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) had taken the requisite measures to tackle monsoon-related grievances in the Cantonment area, water-logging was reported from various parts of the cantonment jurisdiction due to heavy rain. The bylanes near MG Road, East Street and parts of low-lying areas in the Cantonment area witnessed water-logging and flooding. PCB officials said that necessary instructions have been given to the health department to ensure that all rain related grievances are immediately addressed. Residents said that the existing sewage lines were small in size leading to blockages and resulting in the over flowing of the stinking water during the rains.
