The Petrol Consumption Research Action (PCRA) has funded a multi-crore project for research on the use of methane as fuel, Mr. S. Renganathan, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporation, Kancheepuram, said at the Oil Conservation Fortnight celebrations organised by the Indian Oil Corporation here on THursday.He said the PCRA had given Rs. 1 crore each to five Government transport corporations - Pallavan, Cholan, Deeran, Goa and Delhi - to conduct the research. The outcome of the research would help in the conservation of fuel.
