Additional crops worth Taka 60 crore are expected to be produced in this season in Chakoria thana with the construction of four temporary cross-dams on the Matamuhuri river at the initiative of Relief and Rehabilitation Ministry. According to official sources, about 50,000 acres of land covering 17 unions have been brought under irrigation network in this season.
