The Pak-Arab Refinery has approached the Sindh Wildlife Department (SWD) to allow it to lay a pipeline through the Khirthar National Park, it is learnt. The department has, however, not given the permission to the oil company to lay the pipeline through the park as it is a protected area under the Sindh Wildlife Protection Act and all such commercial activities are banned there.
