Petronas, the national petroleum corporation of Malaysia, has discovered gas estimated at 25.6 MMSCFD near Sukkur, which is the first such discovery by the company in Pakistan, an official announcement said on Tuesday. It said that Petroleum Minister Usman Aminuddin has congratulated the company and its joint venture partners, Lasmo Oil Pakistan Ltd, and Government Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, for the discovery, hoping more such discoveries will be made by the consortium.
