The Planning Commission has decided to sort out problems arising out of the 24x7 water supply controversy concerning the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), over which the Left parties and NGOs had created a furore. The Planning Commission, in alliance with the Delhi government, has decided to form an expert committee to look into the matter and incorporate all the good suggestions from every stakeholder and arrive at a solution that is acceptable to all. Planning Commission member in-charge of water issue Kirit Parikh said, "I met Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit recently, seeking clarification on the allegations made by the Left parties and Parivartan (an NGO), on the Planning Commission's alleged interference in the 24x7 water supply project. It was in the meeting that we decided to form an expert group of extremely illustrious people from both the sides.'
