The Biotechnology Department that funded the development of the anti-leprosy vaccine is backing up its use with distribution of technologies for providing gainful employment to post-leprosy and leprosy patients.Department secretary Dr Manju Sharma told that biofertiliser and medicinal plant cultivation were the two identified technologies that were being transferred to the rehabilitation centers for leprosy patients.
