Planned power plants 'will not be built'

A third of planned combined heat and power stations, which British ministers expect to play a crucial role in meeting climate change targets, are unlikely to be built, according to a confidential survey leaked to the Financial Times. The survey, by the Combined Heat and Power Association, blamed falling electricity charges, higher gas prices and the impact of the government's climate change levy for the collapse in cofidence.
