The Cabinet Committee on Economic Reform (CCER) will monitor implementation of Tenth Plan priority agenda to accelerate economic growth rate to 8 per cent in the plan period. The CCER will do so by pushing a set of policy agenda to expedite reforms in critical sectors like labour, foreign direct investment and exports. While all schemes and projects to be implemented on a priority basis by ministries concerned will be supervised by the Cabinet Secretariat, the implementation of identified policy initiatives will be personally overseen by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
