Assam will take a big step towards industrialisation after the Prime Minister inaugurates the Rs 2,489 crore Numaligarh Refinery in Golaghat district on 9 July. The former Prime Minister, Mr P V Narasimha Rao, laid the foundation stone of the refinery, with a capacity of three million metric tonne per annum, on 3 July, 1992.
