Consumption of Ozone Depleting Substances (ODSs), still well below the allowable limit, is growing at a fast rate with the aerosol sector alone commanding three-quarters of total ODS use in Bangladesh. According to surveys of Department of Environment (DOE), CFCs, halons, carbontetreachloride, methylchloroform and hydrochlorofluocarbons (HCFCs) are among the ODS being imported and used in Bangladesh.
