Potable water issue reaches flashpoint

The drinking water problem facing the 2.5 lakh population of Surendranagar and Wadhawan towns of Gujarat has reached a flashpoint. In the TB hospital, Dal Milli Road, societies behind the 80-ft road, Joravarnagar and Ratanpar areas, water used to be supplied for only half an hour per week. But now, with the drying up of the Dholidhha Dam, the problem has acquired a new urgency.
