According to sources, the State Power Department, Assam State Electricity Board(ASEB) and the Pollution Control Board,Assam(PCBA) have already approved a 10 MW gas turbine power generating unit proposed by a Calcutta-based company M/s, Sarbanand Impex Pvt Ltd. at the cost of Rs 50 crore, in the city.
