An underground power line is likely to be laid through Victoria's Alpine National Park to the Mount Hotham ski resort despite concerns about damage to the fragile mountain ecology. A panel appointed by the Planning Minister, Mr Rob Maclellan, has approved the $6.5million project, dismissing environment protection conditions proposed by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment because they were 'incapable of being complied with''.
