The rethink by the new Goa government on allowing private power producers to sell directly to industrial and commercial consumers has hit Reliance-Salgaonkar Ltd's (RSL) Goa power project, which is ready to be commissioned. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is preparing the power privatisation scheme for the state, is understood to have opposed the permission granted by the previous Congress (I) government to sell directly.
