Maheshwar Devta, a local deity of Chagaon village of Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh has summoned Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in his temple to hold "divine' talks on granting permission to Karcham-Wangtoo Hydro Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of Jaiprakash Associates Limited (JAL) to begin the construction work on the main tunnel, the dam and other sites in the controversial Rs 7,760-crore 1000-MW power project to be set up on the Sutlej.
