In 10 years Digvijay Singh has successfully given politics the colour of people's participation. All this was made possible by the attention he paid to taking governance to the grassroots bringing the gram panchayat to the gramins thus making Bapu's gram swaraj a reality. During Digvijay's first term, Madhya Pradesh became the first state to pass laws as per the Panchayat Raj Institutions Act, held panchayat elections, transferred funds, functions and functionaries.
