UK-based PowerGen is planning to buy out the Gujarat government's 12 per cent stake in Gujarat PowerGen Energy Corporation (GPEC). The two sides are presently negotiating but no final decision has been made as yet. The Gujarat government holds the stake through Gujarat Power Corporation (GPCL).
