The President has assured a delegation of the Narmada Bachao Andolan that he would refer the Narmada dam issue to the Prime Minister, NBA activists said today. A 10-member delegation led by Ms Medha Patkar which met Mr KR Narayan today said the President "promised that he would take all necessary legal advice to use his constitutional powers to save the tribal area from destruction."
