The Sikkim Government has issued notices for three hydel power projects on the Teesta river under private or joint sector. The State's Power Minister, Mr Hishey Lachungpa, told the Assembly that the department had already issued notice inviting proposals from the independent power producers for the stage III (1200 MW), stage IV (495 MW) and stage VI (360 MW) on the Teesta river.
