New Delhi's measures to clean up its polluted atmosphere came under attack yesterday as a one-day strike by taxi drivers disrupted the city.More than half the drivers of the city's 15,000 taxis and 50,000 three-wheeled "auto-rickshaws" stayed off the streets in protest at government plans to force them to convert from diesel to more environmentally friendly compressed natural gas(CNG).
