There is strong and broadbased support for the proposed government move to ban the manufacture and sale of gutka, pan masala and chewing tobacco, products, a nationwide opinion poll reveals. According to the poll conducted in eight metropolitan cities across the country on April 25 and 26, as many as 69 per cent of the public favour the proposed ban while only 20 per cent are opposed to it.
