There are also reports of huge landslides at a number of places, including the State capital Shimla.
The telecommunication and water supply links got disconnected after mud-slips at some places. Two giant deodar trees fell right at the gate of Raj Bhavan at Barnes Court, the official residence of Governor Prabha Rau. Traffic was also disrupted at a few places.
The nearby tourist resorts of Naldehra, Mashobara, Kufri and Fagu have also had heavy rainfall for the past 24 hours.
