The state government has linked speical financial benefit to efficiency in generation of power for any independent power developers in the nonconventional power sector to preempt any attempt by them to take advantage of the 100 depreciation in the first year of production and then dispose of the plant. The state government had laid down this strict rule while accepting an offer made by the Asian Wind Turbine Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary of NEG Micon, world leader in the manufacturing of wind turbines.
