A health and social sector NGO in Rajasthan has alleged a pronounced bias against rural areas in the budgetary allocations in medical and public health in the State. The NGO, Bal Rashsmi Society, after conducting a study into the annual financial statements of three years since 1993-94, has in its report observed that if the health services in rural areas were bad, the situation in the Tribal Sub Plan Areas (TSPA) was even worse.
