Ramesh, Nath lock horns on power project

Environment & forests minister Jairam Ramesh and minister of road transport and highways, Kamal Nath have locked horns yet again.
Mr Nath has been pushing for the setting up of a 1,320 MW coal-based thermal power plant by Adani Power in his Chhindwara constituency. The power project was expected to be set up in the close proximity of the
Pench tiger reserve in Chhindwara district in Madhya Pradesh.
The Adani Power is likely
to approach the ministry of environment for diversion of water from the Pench river but Mr Ramesh has pre empted the situation by clarifying,
