Ray of hope for childless couples

Infertility in India is on the rise because of urbanisaiton, pollution, stress, chemical exposure, competition and late settlement in life, says a study. According to fertility experts, nearly 20 per cent married Indian couples in their fertile are group suffer from the problem. But latest advances in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and new research in the management of infertility have provided a ray of hope for childless couples. Experts at a national conference on Management of Infertility - recent Trends, which was organised by the Delhi IVF and Fertility Centre (DIFC), said the Testicular Aspiration for Azoospermia (TESA), technique is an advancement over the In Vitro Fertilisation or the test tube method.
