Central water resources department on Thursday declared Indore as notified area for drawing water from underground water sources. Apart from the domestic water sources, every other source where water is extracted with electric or diesel motors, will have to be registered with the registration officer. Official sources said that the district collector has been declared the registration officer for resources within the limits of the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC). The department has announced that registration of the water sources should be carried out within 90 days after October 9.
