An international consortium led by Reliance Industries Ltd(RIL), the textiles and petrochemical major, has won the contract to develop the 1,500MW lignite mining and power generation project at Jayamkondacholapuram in Perambalur district of Tamil Nadu on the Build-Own-Operate-Maintain (BOOM) basis.
