Serious differences have cropped up between Goa government and Reliance Salgaonkar over commissioning of latter's power plant at Sancoale in South Goa. While Reliance Salgaonkar wants the state government to allow it to operate its plant on a open cycle using industrial kerosene as fuel before going on to the combined cycle, Goa administration under President's rule has stated that it will honour its PPA with the company only if all the statutory requirements and permissions have been obtained pertaining to environmental clearance.
